How much does one-on-one training cost?

$1,299, flat, for any one-month course above — CCNA through AWS Security. The group versions run $299 to $999, so depending on the track the premium is somewhere between $300 and $1,000.

For a sense of the wider market: a Palo Alto Authorized Training Center charges roughly $3,000 to $5,000 for a five-day class, and Udemy will sell you a recording of someone teaching a room for $20. This sits deliberately between the two — dedicated instructor time and real equipment, without authorised-partner pricing.

The certification exam is not included and never is. You pay the vendor directly through Pearson VUE — around $300 for Cisco 200-301, around $175 for Palo Alto PCNSE. Any provider quoting an all-in price that sounds too good is usually excluding this too.

The lab is real hardware

This is the part most online training quietly skips. Simulators are excellent for learning syntax and useless for learning behaviour — and the professional-level exams are written by people who know the difference.

Latency from North America and Europe runs a few hundred milliseconds. For CLI and web-UI configuration work — which is all of this — you will not notice it.

About the language, honestly

Most international training quietly assumes you will cope in English. Plenty of capable engineers do not, and they drop out of live classes for reasons that have nothing to do with networking.

So: if you can already read vendor documentation in English, the gap this closes is the spoken one — following a live explanation at native speed, and asking a question without rehearsing it first. That is the gap that actually stops people. If you cannot read the documentation either, this course is going to be hard in a way no caption fixes, and you should know that before you pay.

Is CCNA still worth it in 2026?

As a destination, no. As a foundation, still yes — and the people who say otherwise are usually selling a cloud course.

What CCNA still does well is force you to understand addressing, switching behaviour, routing decisions and the security basics that everything above it assumes you already have. That includes cloud networking, where a VPC is a routing problem wearing a different hat, and security work, where you cannot read a firewall log if you cannot read a packet. The people who skip straight to a cloud certification tend to hit that wall around month three. Treat CCNA as month one of a longer plan, not the plan.

When one-on-one is the wrong choice for you

  • You learn better with peers to argue with. Some people genuinely do — take the group cohort and keep the $300 to $1,000.
  • Your employer reimburses only vendor-authorised training. Check their list before buying anything from anyone, including us.
  • You have not decided which track you want. Do not buy dedicated instructor time to browse; read the syllabus pages linked above first.
  • You only need exam-question drilling. Buy a practice-exam bundle for $30 instead. That is a genuinely better use of the money.
  • You need placement support. This is a certification course. Networkers Home runs hiring programmes in India and does not operate a hiring pipeline in North America or Europe, so it will not pretend to place you there.
