AWS Training Online.
AWS training online at Networkers Home is a 30-day live cohort for $899, built around the Solutions Architect Associate exam (SAA-C03) — the certification roughly 80% of cloud job postings ask for. 45+ labs run on real AWS accounts the institute funds, including the billable services most free-tier learners never get to touch. Classes run US-East evenings or US-West weekends. The AWS exam fee ($150) is paid directly to AWS.
What is the best online course to learn AWS?
Depends what you are optimizing for, and anyone answering this without asking that question first is selling you something.
If you want the cheapest path and you are genuinely self-disciplined, Adrian Cantrill and Stephane Maarek both publish excellent SAA courses for under $30. AWS Skill Builder hosts official material for free. We will not pretend otherwise — those are good products.
What they do not give you: a fixed schedule that forces the pace, someone to ask when your VPC peering silently fails and the docs do not explain why, and a funded AWS account you are allowed to break. The honest test is your own history. If you have bought a self-paced cloud course before and not finished it, buying a cheaper one will not fix that. If you have finished one, save your money.
What does the 30-day AWS cohort cover?
- AWS Global Infrastructure
- IAM (Users, Groups, Roles, Policies)
- VPC (Subnets, Route Tables, IGW, NAT)
- EC2 (Instances, AMIs, Instance Types)
- EBS (Volumes, Snapshots, Encryption)
- S3 (Buckets, Storage Classes, Lifecycle)
- CloudFront CDN
- Route 53 DNS
- Elastic Load Balancing
- RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora)
- DynamoDB NoSQL Database
- ElastiCache (Redis, Memcached)
- Lambda Serverless Functions
- API Gateway
- SQS & SNS Messaging
- Auto Scaling Groups
- Elastic Beanstalk
- CloudWatch Monitoring
- Well-Architected Framework
- High Availability Design
- Disaster Recovery Strategies
- CloudFormation IaC
- Security Best Practices
- Cost Optimization
- Performance Optimization
- Migration Strategies
- Exam Preparation & Case Studies
60+ topics, 45+ hands-on labs. The Well-Architected Framework sits in the final block deliberately — it only makes sense once you have actually built the pieces it asks you to evaluate.
Can I learn AWS in 3 months?
Three months is comfortable for Solutions Architect Associate. More than most people need, in fact.
The cohort covers the full SAA-C03 blueprint in 30 days. Typical pattern after that is another two to four weeks of your own lab repetition and practice exams before booking — call it two months end to end. Working full time with only evenings available? Three months is realistic and unhurried.
What you cannot do in three months is the Professional tier. SAP-C02 alone typically takes 16 to 20 weeks of preparation after you already hold an Associate certification. Anyone promising otherwise has not sat it.
Can I learn AWS for free?
Partly. And you should use the free tier regardless of whether you pay anyone for training. AWS Skill Builder has real official content at no cost, and the AWS Free Tier gives you 12 months of limited service access.
Two limits worth knowing before you commit to the free route. The free tier does not cover most of the expensive services you need to touch for genuine architecture work — and the moment you do touch them, the bill is yours. Most self-taught candidates end up spending somewhere between $500 and $1,500 on their own AWS charges getting to Associate level.
The second limit is that at 11pm, when a NAT gateway is quietly eating money and you cannot work out why, there is nobody to ask. In this program the lab accounts are funded by the institute, billable services included, so there is no surprise invoice and there is someone on the other end of the question.
Which AWS certification should you start with?
For most people: start at SAA-C03 and skip Cloud Practitioner. CLF-C02 is a real foundational exam, but if you have any IT background it teaches little you would not absorb in week one of SAA prep, and hiring managers rarely weight it. The exception is a genuinely non-technical starting point, where CLF first is a fair confidence-builder.
| Exam code | Certification | Where it fits |
|---|---|---|
| CLF-C02 | AWS Cloud Practitioner | Foundational. Skippable if you have any prior cloud exposure. |
| SAA-C03 | AWS Solutions Architect – Associate | This course. The one ~80% of cloud job postings ask for. |
| DVA-C02 | AWS Developer – Associate | Next step if you write code. |
| SCS-C02 | AWS Security – Specialty | Next step if you go the security route. |
| DOP-C02 | AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional | Professional tier. |
| SAP-C02 | AWS Solutions Architect – Professional | The hardest AWS exam. Most people take 16–20 weeks for it. |
Who teaches the AWS cohort?
Holds five AWS certifications and four Azure certifications, which is an unusual combination and the reason he teaches the multi-cloud material as well as this course.
Networkers Home was founded in 2007 by Vikas Swami, Dual CCIE #22239 and a Cisco TAC VPN engineer in 2004. He does not teach the AWS sessions.
What do AWS roles pay in the US?
| Role | Experience | US range |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud Support / Junior Cloud Engineer | 0–1 yr | $65,000–85,000 |
| Cloud Engineer (SAA-certified) | 1–3 yrs | $90,000–125,000 |
| Solutions Architect | 3–5 yrs | $120,000–165,000 |
| Senior / Principal Solutions Architect | 5+ yrs | $150,000–210,000 |
How to read this table: US labour-market reference ranges for AWS-certified roles, compiled from public US job postings. These are not Networkers Home placement outcomes. The institute's placement network — 800+ hiring partners, 45,000+ engineers placed since 2007 — is India-based. If you are buying a placement pipeline rather than the certification and the lab access, that distinction matters.
How do US students attend?
For East Coast schedules with a day job.
Same syllabus, same trainer, same lab accounts.
Sessions recorded and posted within about 30 minutes. AWS labs run in the browser against real AWS accounts, so unlike the hardware-based Cisco courses there is no remote-latency consideration — you are working in the AWS console directly.
When this is the wrong course for you
- You have successfully finished self-paced cloud courses before. Buy Cantrill's course and keep the $870.
- You already hold an AWS Associate cert. Go to SCS-C02 or DOP-C02 instead.
- You need a US job-placement pipeline. NH's hiring network is in India.
- You want AWS certification purely as a resume line without touching the console. The 45 labs are the point.
Prefer one student, one instructor? This course can also be taken one-on-one — you set the schedule and the instructor works to your pace instead of the group's. Flat $1,299, with live captions and translation across 15+ languages.
AWS training online — frequently asked
What is the best online course to learn about AWS?
It depends on what you are optimizing for, and anyone who answers this without asking that is selling you something. If you want the cheapest possible path and you are self-disciplined, Adrian Cantrill's or Stephane Maarek's video courses on Udemy are genuinely good and cost under $30. AWS Skill Builder has free official content. What those do not give you is a fixed schedule, a person to ask when your VPC peering silently fails, or a funded AWS account to break. Networkers Home's AWS program is a 30-day live cohort at $899 with 45+ labs on real AWS accounts the institute pays for. Pick the live cohort if you have started and abandoned a self-paced course before. Pick the video course if you have not.

Three months is comfortable for Solutions Architect Associate — more than most people need. The Networkers Home cohort covers the full SAA-C03 blueprint in 30 days of live instruction, and the usual pattern is another two to four weeks of your own lab work and practice exams before booking. That lands you around the two-month mark. If you are working full time and can only give it evenings, three months is a realistic and unhurried timeline. What you cannot do in three months is the Professional tier — SAP-C02 alone typically takes 16 to 20 weeks of preparation after you already hold an Associate cert.

Partly, yes, and you should use the free tier regardless of whether you pay for training. AWS Skill Builder hosts official free courses, and the AWS Free Tier gives you 12 months of limited service access. Two honest limits: the free tier does not cover the expensive services you actually need to touch for architecture work, and there is nobody to ask when something breaks at 11pm. How much does AWS training cost?
Across the US market, live instructor-led AWS training generally runs $1,500 to $4,000, official AWS classroom training runs higher, and self-paced video courses run $15 to $200. Networkers Home's AWS Solutions Architect Associate program is $899, one time, which covers the 30-day live cohort, 45+ labs, funded AWS lab accounts, and all recordings. The AWS SAA-C03 exam is separate and paid directly to AWS — currently $150 USD. Budget about $1,050 total for training plus one exam attempt.
Which AWS certification should I start with?
For most people, start at Solutions Architect Associate (SAA-C03) and skip Cloud Practitioner. CLF-C02 is a genuinely foundational exam, but if you have any prior IT background it teaches you little you will not pick up in the first week of SAA prep, and hiring managers rarely weight it. Roughly 80% of cloud job postings that name an AWS cert name SAA. The exception is if you are coming from a completely non-technical role — in that case CLF-C02 first is a reasonable confidence-builder. After SAA, the fork is by career direction: DVA-C02 if you write code, SCS-C02 if you go security, DOP-C02 or SAP-C02 for the professional tier.
What time do the live AWS classes run for US students?
Two tracks. US-East weeknights run Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00–9:30 PM ET. US-West weekends run Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM PT. Both cover the identical SAA-C03 syllabus with the same trainers. Sessions are recorded and posted within roughly 30 minutes. Because AWS labs run in the browser against real AWS accounts rather than on remote hardware, there is no latency consideration — you work directly in the AWS console from wherever you are.
