How long does CCIE preparation take at Networkers Home?▾

Our intensive CCIE programs run 6 months full-time (8-10 hours/day with dedicated 24×7 rack access) or 9-12 months part-time (evening + weekend track for working professionals). The CCIE written exam needs 2-3 months prep; the lab exam needs an additional 4-6 months. Most candidates clear written first, then attempt the lab within 6-9 months.

Do I need CCNP before CCIE?▾

Cisco doesn't formally require it, but practically — yes. CCIE assumes solid CCNP-level depth on routing/switching/security. Roughly 95% of our CCIE-track students have CCNP first; the rare exceptions are senior engineers (10+ years experience) jumping straight to CCIE. If you don't have CCNP, take CCNP Enterprise first (4 months at our institute) before attempting CCIE.

Yes for 3 of the 4 tracks. CCIE Security remains the gold standard for senior security architecture roles (cloud doesn't replace network security). CCIE Automation is the fastest-growing CCIE track — Cisco renamed CCIE Routing & Switching to CCIE Enterprise specifically to integrate automation. CCIE Data Center is steady demand. The one CCIE that's slowing is Service Provider — telco hiring has consolidated. We don't currently offer the SP track because the placement market doesn't justify it.
