CCNP Certification Cost in India 2026 — Full Breakdown of Both Exams

Almost every CCNP certification cost in India estimate you will read online is wrong in the same way: it prices one exam. CCNP takes two. This page breaks down the core exam, the concentration exam, training fees, lab access and the retake risk that quietly doubles for a two-exam certification. The two-exam problem nobody budgets for

CCNA is one exam. CCNP is two, and that single structural difference is responsible for most of the shock people feel when they actually start booking. To earn any CCNP you pass a core exam and then a concentration exam of your choosing. For CCNP Enterprise, the core is 350-401 ENCOR. The core costs US$400 and the concentration costs US$300, so the Cisco-side bill is US$700 before you have paid a single rupee to a trainer.

At 2026 exchange rates that is roughly ₹62,000. Compare that with CCNA, where the Cisco side is a single US$300 exam at about ₹26,500, and the picture changes: the exam fees alone for CCNP are more than double CCNA's, and they can exceed the cost of the training course you take to prepare for them. A candidate who budgets ₹40,000 for "CCNP" and means the coaching fee will be roughly ₹62,000 short.

There is one piece of good news buried in the structure. The core exam is not only a CCNP requirement — it is also the qualifying exam that lets you book the matching CCIE lab. Passing 350-401 ENCOR once earns credit toward CCNP Enterprise and simultaneously opens CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure. If you have any intention of going to expert level later, the core exam is the best-value exam in the entire Cisco ladder.

Cisco exam fees — what you pay Pearson VUE

Cisco publishes exam prices in US dollars, not rupees. The rupee amount you see at checkout therefore moves with the exchange rate and with local taxes on the day you book, which is why you will find Indian sites quoting figures anywhere from ₹30,000 to ₹35,000 for the same core exam. The dollar price is the stable number; treat the rupee figure below as an approximation and re-check it when you book.

Exam fees are identical across every CCNP track. A CCNP Security candidate and a CCNP Enterprise candidate pay Cisco exactly the same amount. Where tracks genuinely differ in cost is training, because far fewer Indian institutes teach Security, Service Provider and Collaboration than teach Enterprise, and thinner supply means higher prices.

Item USD INR (approx) Notes
Core exam (e.g. 350-401 ENCOR) USD 400 ≈ ₹35,500 120 minutes. Also qualifies you for the matching CCIE lab
Concentration exam USD 300 ≈ ₹26,500 90 minutes. Your choice from the track's concentration list
Total Cisco-side cost (first pass) USD 700 ≈ ₹62,000 Excludes coaching, lab access, books, travel
Retake (per attempt) Same as original ≈ ₹35,500 / ₹26,500 5-day mandatory wait between attempts
Recertification (every 3 years) USD 0 with CE credits 80 Continuing Education credits Otherwise repeat a qualifying exam at full price

Training fees in India — and why the tiers differ from CCNA

The CCNA training market in India runs from ₹9,500 video courses upward. CCNP does not have a meaningful budget tier, and the reason is instructional rather than commercial: you cannot teach CCNP-level troubleshooting through pre-recorded video with no lab. The material assumes you will configure, break and repair real topologies. Providers that tried selling ₹8,000 CCNP video courses largely stopped, because the pass rates were poor enough to damage them.

What remains is a narrower band, roughly ₹35,000 to ₹90,000, separated mostly by lab quality and instructor seniority. The genuine question when comparing two CCNP quotes is not the headline fee — it is how many hours of lab access you get, whether the lab is shared or dedicated, and whether the instructor has actually run the technology in production. A CCNP Enterprise course taught by someone who has only ever passed the exam themselves is a common and expensive disappointment.

One India-specific cost worth planning for: many CCNP candidates are already working, so the real constraint is scheduling, not money. Weekend and evening batches usually cost the same as weekday batches but stretch across more months, which pushes your exam date out and increases the chance you will need a refresher before booking.

Tier Fee range (INR) What you actually get
Self-study + lab ₹8,000–₹20,000 Official guides plus Cisco Modeling Labs or equivalent. Viable if you already work on Cisco kit daily
Live online ₹35,000–₹55,000 Instructor-led batches, shared cloud lab, recorded backup, mock exams
Classroom / premium ₹60,000–₹90,000 Physical lab racks, CCIE-level instructors, placement support, metro-city overheads
Section 4

The retake maths — where CCNP budgets actually break

With two exams, your exposure to failure is not doubled — it is worse than doubled, because the two exams test different things and a candidate strong enough to clear the core is not automatically ready for a concentration. A realistic worst case looks like this: core exam failed once and retaken (₹35,500 + ₹35,500), concentration passed first time (₹26,500). That is ₹97,500 on Cisco fees alone, against a ₹62,000 plan.

The 5-day mandatory wait between attempts sounds trivial and is not. Candidates who fail the core typically need four to six weeks of genuine remediation, not five days, and the ones who rebook at day six usually fail again. Budgeting a second attempt is prudent; rushing into it is how a second attempt becomes a third.

The mitigation is unglamorous. Sit a full-length, timed mock under real conditions before you book, and only book when you are clearing it comfortably rather than scraping it. An exam voucher is the most expensive practice test in the world.

Section 5

Is CCNP worth it, honestly?

CCNP earns its cost when you are already in a networking role and want to move out of support into design, implementation or a specialism. It validates depth, and the Indian job market treats it as evidence that you have operated real infrastructure rather than only studied it. For an engineer with two or three years of hands-on time, it is one of the more reliable certifications to convert into a role change.

It is a poor first purchase for a complete fresher. Cisco removed the formal prerequisite, so nothing stops you booking the core exam with no CCNA and no job — but the exam is written for people who have configured these technologies under pressure. Freshers who skip straight to CCNP save one exam fee and frequently spend it twice over on retakes, then arrive at interviews holding a certification whose implied experience they cannot demonstrate.

The strongest case for CCNP is when it is a waypoint rather than a destination. Because the core exam doubles as the CCIE qualifying exam, a candidate who intends to reach expert level eventually is buying two things with one fee. If CCIE is nowhere in your plan and you simply want a better job title, be honest with yourself about whether the ₹62,000 in exam fees is better spent on the skills adjacent to networking — Linux, Python, cloud — that hiring managers increasingly ask for alongside it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the total CCNP certification cost in India in 2026? +
Cisco's side alone is approximately ₹62,000, because CCNP requires two exams: a core exam at US$400 (about ₹35,500) and a concentration exam at US$300 (about ₹26,500). Add training and the realistic total is ₹85,000 to ₹1,50,000 depending on whether you self-study or take an instructor-led programme. Networkers Home's CCNP Enterprise programme is ₹39,000 plus 18% GST, which is ₹46,020 total, over 3 months.
How many exams do you need to pass for CCNP? +
Two. Every CCNP track requires one core exam plus one concentration exam of your choice. For CCNP Enterprise the core is 350-401 ENCOR. The core exam also doubles as the qualifying exam for the matching CCIE track, so passing it once counts toward both certifications. This is the single most misunderstood part of CCNP budgeting — most people price it as one exam.
How much is the CCNP exam fee in Indian rupees? +
The core exam is US$400 and the concentration exam is US$300. Cisco prices in US dollars, so the rupee figure moves with the exchange rate and local taxes at the time you book. At 2026 rates that is roughly ₹35,500 and ₹26,500 respectively, or about ₹62,000 for both.
Do you need CCNA before taking CCNP? +
No. Cisco removed formal prerequisites, so you can attempt CCNP without holding CCNA. In practice most candidates who skip CCNA struggle with the core exam, because it assumes fluency in routing, switching and IP services that CCNA builds. Skipping CCNA saves the CCNA exam fee but frequently costs more in CCNP retakes.
What is the CCNP retake fee if you fail? +
The retake fee is the same as the original: US$400 for the core exam and US$300 for a concentration exam. Cisco enforces a 5-day waiting period between attempts. Because CCNP has two exams, the retake risk is effectively doubled compared with CCNA, and this is where most CCNP budgets are exceeded.
Which CCNP track is cheapest? +
Cisco charges the same exam fees across all CCNP tracks — US$400 core plus US$300 concentration — so no track is cheaper on the Cisco side. Training costs do differ. CCNP Enterprise typically has the widest choice of Indian training providers and therefore the most competitive pricing, while CCNP Security and Service Provider tend to cost more because fewer institutes teach them.
How long is CCNP valid and what does recertification cost? +
CCNP is valid for three years. You can recertify by passing any qualifying exam or by earning 80 Continuing Education credits. Most working professionals accumulate CE credits through Cisco training and events, which makes recertification effectively free. If you recertify by re-examination instead, budget the exam fee again.
Is CCNP worth the cost in India? +
CCNP is worth it when you already hold a networking role and want to move from support into design, implementation or specialist work. CCNP-level engineers in India typically access roles that CCNA-only candidates cannot reach. It is a poor investment for a complete fresher with no operational experience, because CCNP validates depth that the job market expects you to have actually practised.
What does Networkers Home charge for CCNP training? +
The CCNP Enterprise programme is ₹39,000 plus 18% GST, which totals ₹46,020, delivered over 3 months with EMI available at ₹7,670 per month over 6 months. There is also a combined CCNA plus CCNP programme over 4 months. Both are taught in Bangalore and live online, and both carry Placement Guarantee* terms.
Can you do CCNP entirely by self-study? +
Yes, and more candidates succeed at self-studying CCNP than CCNA, because CCNP candidates usually have hands-on production experience to draw on. The constraint is lab access: the core exam expects configuration fluency that reading cannot build. Budget for a lab environment such as Cisco Modeling Labs or an equivalent, plus the two exam fees.
Does the CCNP core exam count toward CCIE? +
Yes. The core exam for each CCNP track is the same exam that qualifies you to book the matching CCIE lab. Passing 350-401 ENCOR earns credit toward CCNP Enterprise and simultaneously unlocks the CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure lab booking. If CCIE is your eventual goal, this makes the core exam the highest-value single exam in the Cisco ladder.
How long does CCNP take to complete in India? +
Most candidates take 4 to 8 months for both exams alongside a full-time job. Instructor-led programmes compress the taught portion to around 3 months, but the concentration exam usually needs additional self-study afterwards. Candidates already working in a Cisco environment move fastest, because the material overlaps with daily work.

Not sure whether CCNP is your next step?

No obligation, no sales script. A senior counsellor looks at what you are doing now and tells you honestly whether CCNP, a concentration choice, or something else entirely is the better spend.
