Prepare a licensed image dataset
Curate and preprocess aligned images (crop, resize, normalise) and split into training and validation sets; record licences and provenance.
StyleGAN image synthesis. Assess image realism.
StyleGAN-style architectures map latent vectors to high-resolution images while controlling style at multiple scales. Key practical tasks are collecting curated image datasets, computing FID and perceptual metrics, monitoring training stability, and validating outputs for artefacts and mode collapse.

A proposed application: help visual-effects teams prototype synthetic assets for background scenes, with humans in the loop to approve or reject generated images. This starter does not deliver such functionality.
Curate and preprocess aligned images (crop, resize, normalise) and split into training and validation sets; record licences and provenance.
Start with a reference StyleGAN2/3 implementation, train on low resolution to confirm pipelines, and log hyperparameters and checkpoints.
Track FID, precision/recall for generative models and visual samples; watch for instability and mode collapse and adjust regularisation.
Use automated metrics plus human preference studies for realism, add watermarking or provenance metadata and a review workflow before release.
The supplied starter generates five synthetic 3‑dimensional numeric vectors by computing the centroid and covariance of five seed vectors, sampling a multivariate normal, clipping values to [0,1], and printing them. It does not implement StyleGAN, any GAN training loop, neural networks, or image data handling.
centroid = seed_examples.mean(axis=0)
covariance = np.cov(seed_examples.T) + np.eye(seed_examples.shape[1]) * 0.01
synthetic_samples = rng.multivariate_normal(centroid, covariance, size=5)
synthetic_samples = np.clip(synthetic_samples, 0, 1)
print(PROJECT_NAME)
print("Synthetic samples:")
print(np.round(synthetic_samples, 3))The code operates on low-dimensional numeric arrays and draws multivariate-normal samples; there is no neural network, no GAN loss, no generator/discriminator, and no image I/O. It cannot be used to produce or evaluate images or to reproduce any StyleGAN functionality.
A proposed extension: train a StyleGAN2/3 variant on a curated, licensed image dataset (for example, landscape or product photos) at moderate resolution, track FID and human preference metrics, and provide a small UI for artists to request variations and approve outputs.
This is a potential application pathway, not a delivered product. The supplied starter does not implement this service or validate it with real users.
