 CCIE Data Center program enhances the skills of a Network Engineer to work in any Large Data Center Enterprise Network and provide uninterrupted as well as reliable throughput across the entire network. Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Data Center (CCIE Data Center) certifies the expert-level skills required for the planning, design, implementation and management of complex, modern IT data center infrastructure.

Professionals who achieve CCIE Data Center certification have demonstrated their technical skills at the highest level using industry best-practices. This certification is for experienced data center professionals who are seeking future-proof skills that are needed for leadership roles focused on harnessing in-depth IT data center solutions and emerging technologies. While there are no formal prerequisites for CCIE certification, you are expected to have an in-depth understanding of the exam topics and are strongly encouraged to have eight years of job experience before attempting certification.

Other professional certifications or training courses are not required. Instead, candidates must first pass the CCIE Data Center Written Exam, and then the corresponding CCIE Data Center Lab Exam. Cisco tests the efficiency of a Network Engineer who wants to act as a Data Center expert through the following two exams:

  • CCIE Data Center Theory Exam version 2.0 (Exam Code: 400-151)
  • CCIE Data Center Lab Exam
