In this blog , i have tried my best to explain requirement for better institutes and businesses which think beyond profit and loss . People who know they can make a difference and think beyond material world. People who understand the World and future of the World.
I always believed in people and their strengths. A strong man can achieve anything in this world - is always my philosophy. I believe everybody has a choice of being a good human or bad. I started our training operations in January 2007 with a vision to provide world class educational services in INDIA.
First Month , i had around 25 people calling us all from different training centres and enquiring about our business plans and franchisee etc. I rejected all franchisee offers which i am rejecting till today. Many other people visited us for understanding our training offerings etc. I got my first student from Jaipur .He was over 30 , BCOM qualified and very intelligent . My second student came from Delhi. Another BCOM pass and only 21 year old. They did their CCNP and CCSP from us.
Slowly i became the best CCSP trainer in Delhi and we had a huge business . We became RED Hat partner which we had to close down soon because of huge losses .
Some working professionals wanted me to start CCIE Training however i was not very sure as i was not certified. Then i met a CCIE certified candidate from Mumbai who wanted to work as a trainer in our institute .He was certified and holds a CCIE number till date. I took him to our class room and showed him our NAT Scenario which i gave to some students .He was surprised with the complexity and told me that even CCIE Lab exam does not offer this kind of complexity. WOW i realized that we can offer CCIE training as nobody then was offering the same.
Our first CCIE Student was also the second student of our institute. Same 21 year old BCOM pass ,this student was almost demoralized by everybody in this world not to pursue CCIE Lab as its too complex . He passed in first attempt. Today he works from a big Indian MNC company and recently came back from USA after doing a project for NASDAQ.
Today out of all CCIE Certified students, our 80% of the students does not hold a BE /BTECH etc. Most of them are plain BCOM or ART graduate.
Last year around 100 students took admission into various programs and around 96 student out of them are working with BIG MNC Companies. After seeing the hard work over 80% students decided not to attempt Lab examination.
So based on our 3 years experience, i wanted to find out what makes a person to attempt this kind of complex examination ? Why BE/BTECH don't attempt this exam and BA, BCOM students are willing to do ? Why passing percentage of simple graduates is much more higher?
Here is an answer : I collected data from our internal database about people who are very successful and people who are not ?
I was surprised with the data. It was clearly mentioning people from poor background and small cities were more successful than those from Metro. India's small city people are willing to learn and improve as they really need a good job .They have a dream of having their own home in big cities etc. One the other side ,student from big cities already have all facilities and they hardly dream and even if they dream its all negative. Most successful students came from states like UP ,Madhya Pradesh and Haryana etc. Most unsuccessful students from DELHI and Mumbai and Punjab. It was like they only wanted a shortcut and nothing else .No hard work and just a certificate.
We were enrolling every ABC initially in order to meet our expenses and had few really negative students who has history of stealing/drinking etc. And who were looking for making quick bucks . Today thanks to those kind of people , we don't give admission into our CCIE program to every ABC.
Today i hold a dual CCIE and willing to go for third and in just 1 year of starting the CCIE training we are the most successful training company.
Why not CCIE R&S training ?
I get around 10 emails a day people asking for training in CCIE Routing and Switching track . I close the training for this program around 1 year back after understanding the real motive behind R&S.
All student who came to us for CCIE R&S were found with negative attitude as they knew CCIE R&S is the easiest certification to pass and learning material is openly available in every corner to pass this track .80% students which we rejected last year in our training programs today hold a CCIE R&S but not a good job .This clearly explains our approach for staying away from routine way of doing business.
There are over 18000 people certified in CCIE R&S and only over 2000 people in CCIE Security . My students who opted for CCIE Security program today are working for biggest MNC companies while i get around 2 emails a day from CCIE R&S candidate for a job help.
Why CCIE R&S again ?
I liked the recent news that CISCO has updated their CCIE R&S syllabus and going to add a troubleshooting section to it . This is what i have been waiting to hear .I will only start training on new syllabus and that too after Feb 2010.
Why CCIE Security or CCIE Voice ?
CCIE Security track requires amazing hard work and teaches you CCIE R&S track for free. CCIE Security students are amazing in demand due to their less number. While almost all 30 big training institute in the country are only focussing on CCIE R&S we are only focussing on CCIE Security . Its low passing rate is its biggest opportunity. In India we have 1 Seat for CCIE Security Lab which makes it possible that only 200 people can appear for this examination in 1 Year.
CCIE Voice is another amazing program with only over 1000 people certified.
Another big factor which is restricting training companies from offering CCIE Security and CCIE Voice is their investment. It requires double the investment into building a CCIE Security rack as compared to CCIE R&S.
Finally Knowledge is power :
Today i have around 186 students working in big MNC Companies who took CCIE Training program from us and got placed into some of the biggest names in country and around 11 CCIE passed students from us.
Some of the students who never took a CCIE LAB Exam are getting even better salaries then people who passed CCIE Lab examination. Because there are just so many factors which an employer is looking for like communication skills ,attitude and sincerity etc.
Starting another Training center in Bangalore :
I am always fascinated with Bangalore city. Today people call it IT Capital of India Or Innovation capital of India .Southern India represent highest literacy rate. It is oldest Education hub for engineering students and generally students are more concentrated on education as compared of North India. I think this is already proven with IT success of Bangalore and now Kerala coming in a big way.
Within 6 months of being here i have already seen some great success with 5 people passing in CCIE Security and 4 out of them passing in first attempt. I have just hired 4 students of mine who hail from Salem ,Tamilnadu for our Delhi branch. Nobody beats these boys in sincerity and hard work . They have around 85% -90% in their BTECH. I think this year we are going to make a history by producing highest number of CCIE in Security in the World as most of the students from South India are extremely hard working and sincere.
Let us wait and watch till January 2010 when i will post our report card for the Year 2009-2010.
What made us big :
Being to the point and working on complex things then choosing easy way of making money .We did not focus on old tracks which are of no use .We invested heavily in Infrastructure and produced results in terms of knowledge and placement. Today i have over 50% business coming from reference. We are atleast 5 times bigger than any competitor in India in Infrastructure and have around 38 trainers for various tracks. All our devices are connected using lease line and remote rack access is given to our students without any extra charge. Our training facility is ISO 9001 certified and we are partner to many global organizations.
